Guide to Talking about Ocean Plastic Pollution

Plastic pollution can seem like a problem too large for us to tackle on our own but together we can solve the problem! This guide helps you effectively communicate the urgency and scope of the issue while providing ways for people to be part of the solution. It also emphasizes the importance of engaging youth and empowering them to lead the world towards a better future.

Plog for the Ocean Toolkit

This toolkit contains everything you need to host your own Plog for the Ocean event as an energetic way to raise awareness and take action against plastic pollution. Plogging is the act of picking up litter while jogging. Organize your event and join young people around the world as they attempt to achieve the most plogs completed in a single day on 8 June for World Oceans Day!

Coastal and Inland Cleanup Guide

The new and improved cleanup guide will give your cleanup a modern, fresh perspective. From promotion, to day-of engagement with the Litterati app, to influencing policy post-cleanup, this guide has you covered every step of the way. Join with the Council and thousands of others to host impactful and engaging cleanups around the globe!

Plastic Pollution Lesson and Action Plan

This plan will help you teach your peers and community members about plastic pollution, inspire them with solutions, and empower them by doing an activity. It’s easy to follow and can be done from anywhere! Join the Council and others to teach this in your school, local zoo or aquarium, club, business, place of worship, or public space. Available in English, Spanish and Chinese.

Upcycling Guidebook

Turn your plastic waste into useful products! By reusing plastic, upcycling reduces the amount that can end up in the environment and helps us avoid purchasing new plastic products.
