The Ocean Project is unique in many ways, including how it is led. Formed by senior representatives of several aquariums and conservation organizations, The Ocean Project's leadership is comprised of some of the most well-respected thinkers and doers in the aquarium, zoo, and conservation communities. Leadership is divided into two councils: the Leadership Council is a small, efficient and dedicated decision-making body that would sets the organizational vision and strategic plan; the Advisory Council serves as a consultative body to assist the Director and Leadership Council in various aspects of projects and planning.
